So here is my special ''show coverage'' for our room. There was so much excellent equipment to hear there that I decided to concentrate on what we had on display. Besides we had so much traffic in our room that I wouldn't have had much time to just walk around. On the photograph you see Leo Massi presenting the entire system. Dac+, Black Cube in the rack. Click to enlargeOn the photograph on the right side you see how the Black Cube phono stage and the DAC+ digital preamplifier (click to enlarge) were placed in the Rack. The complete hotel was quite problematic as far as vibrations are concerned. So Leo and Al worked hard to avoid these effects. Finally the sound in our room was indeed exceptional. We have been told this by many visitors who stepped by among them Jim Merod of Blue Port Sound, a man who does many many high class two microphone jazz recordings.

Al Eklund of Hy End Audio ImportsHere you see Al Eklund, Leo Massi's partner of Hy End Audio Imports adjusting the tracking force of the Clavis Da Capo cartridge.

Michael Green corner tune in upper room cornerThis a so called Corner Tune by Michael Green Room Tunes. This little thing can be fixed in upper room corners to get rid of some resonances. Luckily Leo Massi and Al Aklund paid close attention to room treatment. When I walked to listen in some other rooms I noticed that not too many exhibitors where that professional.

We coexhibited with two Canadian companies, RL Acoustique from Quebec and Tenor Audio from Montreal who supplied the loudspeakers and the power amp respectively. The complete cabling was supplied by Electra Glide.

Fortunately the importance of room treatment, racks, power coinditioning and cables gets more and more recognized. Besides the main equipment we used the following things in our room

Sounds of Silence ''Vibraplane'' (passive)

Argent room lens (4 units)

Tice ''Solo'' power conditioning (2 units)

Michael Green ''Corner tunes'' (2 units)

LLoyd Walker ''Valid Points'' cones and pucks (many, many)

Shakti Stone (1 for the DAC+)

Particular rack
