Stereophile was calling and all they came. Vista Room in the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas was absolutely crowded with people working in or related to the high end audio industry. Everyone was having a good time and enjoying the great buffet and large variety of drinks - and this was free! I did not hear a bad word during the whole evening. And the fact that Peterson Inc. had been bought out by another Company was hardly dominating the small talk
When you stepped into the room the first thing you noticed was a wall of Stereophile titles among them the title of vol. 22 no. 10 in which the Black Cube review of Michael Fremer was published. This is Scott's partner at Electra Glide, David Elrod. He confronted me with the good information that he is the happy owner of a DAC+ digital preamplifier and that he really appreciates the sound of it. He seems to have tried several other devices in the meantime but he always comes back to my product. You can imagine that he really can afford other products as well. We talked about their new power cord the Fat boy which retails for US$ 2000 and other products and plans.
