Glad to report that after very little break-in the black box sounds great it is a huge improvement over my Rotel phono stage, although given the price differential I would have expected some improvement. Improvements are extended frequency extremes, especially in the bass. Much better pace and impact. Much lower noise level leading to more perceived detail.
